My creative journey

I began my journey as an editor at a textbook company. Choosing exactly the right engaging-yet-informative words that a second grader could read—that was my introduction to user experience.

Editing history textbooks, I realized that how stories are told is almost as important as the stories themselves. That led me to a Master’s Degree in Public History, which is really just another way of taking complex information—history—and transforming it into engaging spatial experiences at museums and cultural attractions.

My career shifted toward leadership when I became a creative producer. I gained a nuts-and-bolts understanding of scoping and managing projects while serving as the creative lead for design teams and the main point of contact for clients. This is when I discovered how much I enjoy creative problem-solving.

The Venn diagram of storytelling, strategy, and creative leadership is my sweet spot. I bring a historian’s perspective, a storyteller’s empathy, a strategist’s logic, and a project manager’s holistic mindset to all of my projects.
